Senior Staff Software Architect

Overview

Serve as the architectural owner for an embedded Linux Cardiology platform used across multiple products. Define scalable architecture, quality strategy, performance standards, governance, and long-term technical direction.

What you'll do

• Define and evolve scalable embedded-system platform architecture.
• Establish testing strategies and release-blocking quality gates.
• Diagnose and improve rendering, memory, bundle-size, and framework-integration performance.
• Prioritize technical and quality-assurance debt based on impact, risk, adoption, and maintainability.
• Create architecture roadmaps aligned with product priorities.
• Partner with product, UX, QA, DevOps, leadership, and engineering teams on architecture decisions.
• Mentor senior engineers and Tech Leads while driving continuous quality improvement.

What you'll need

• 15+ years developing embedded Linux platform applications.
• At least 3 years in a lead architect role focused on embedded software.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Strong C and C++ skills, including object-oriented design and design patterns.
• Hands-on Linux embedded development and technical issue resolution experience.
• Experience with source control, build automation, and continuous integration.
• Ability to use Shell, Perl, or Python scripting.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Computer Science or Electronics and Communication.
• Knowledge of ARM processors and USB, Flash, LAN, WLAN, or Bluetooth technologies.
• Experience with Eclipse, GitLab, QML, or Squish.
• Experience automating integration testing with Python and test frameworks.
