Senior Staff Software Architect

Overview

Senior Staff Software UI / Design System Architect to define and evolve shared UI platforms and a unified design system used across multiple products and teams.

What you'll do

• Define and evolve scalable architecture for shared UI and design system platforms.
• Establish framework-agnostic foundations such as design tokens, shared behavior, and interaction patterns.
• Drive architectural consistency across Web Components.
• Design framework adapters, component APIs, and public API boundaries with versioning and compatibility.
• Define quality strategy and release-blocking quality gates for unit, accessibility, visual regression, and E2E testing.
• Improve performance across rendering, DOM, memory, and bundle size, and set measurable performance baselines and budgets.
• Create architecture roadmaps and enable cross-team adoption and migration support.

What you'll need

• 10–14 years of experience in front-end/UI engineering.
• Proven experience architecting enterprise-scale UI platforms or large design systems used by multiple teams and applications.
• 6+ years partnering closely with UX, Product, and Design teams to define scalable architecture.
• Deep understanding of React, Angular, TypeScript, Web Components, HTML, CSS, and browser fundamentals.
• Strong knowledge of design tokens, theming/styling architecture, shared behavior, and component composition.
• Experience with API design, package architecture, dependency management, changesets, semantic versioning, and migration planning/codemods.
