Overview
Senior Staff Software Engineer on the AI Governance Engineering team, shaping and building a platform for AI governance, compliance, safety, observability, controls, and agent runtime management.
What you'll do
- Drive technical strategy, architecture decisions, and platform evolution.
- Design and deliver scalable, secure, highly available governance services.
- Lead technical initiatives across multiple teams.
- Mentor engineers through architecture reviews and design guidance.
- Resolve ambiguous problems from concept through implementation.
- Champion performance, reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence.
- Contribute to incident response, root cause analysis, and platform improvement.
What you'll need
- 12+ years of software engineering experience building enterprise-grade distributed systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience designing and operating scalable, secure, resilient web services.
- Experience leading complex technical initiatives across multiple teams.
- Experience with modern AI platforms, agent frameworks, and LLM-powered applications.
- Familiarity with AI deployment ecosystems such as Amazon Bedrock, Microsoft Foundry, Google Vertex AI, or Agent Core.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience building AI Governance, Trust & Safety, Security, Compliance, or Observability platforms.
- Experience with agentic AI systems, runtime governance, policy enforcement, evaluation frameworks, or AI observability.
- Expertise operating large-scale SaaS platforms in cloud environments.
