Senior Staff Software Engineer

Overview

Senior Staff Software Engineer in the Cloud Apps Org in Hyderabad, responsible for building key SaaS and Identity workloads and the architectural components that support core operations of multiple SaaS Apps workloads.

What you'll do

• Design and implement software modules owned by a team, with a primary focus on backend server-side components.
• Ensure high performance and responsiveness from the front end.
• Guide and mentor junior team members by reviewing their code and designs to ensure well-designed, high-quality code.
• Be the technical leader in building enterprise-grade, scalable, performant systems that deliver required functionality to customers.
• Design and implement sufficiently large and complex features and/or architectural improvements to the product.
• Suggest and propose solutions to complex design problems.
• Identify areas of engineering improvement in the product and work with product architects and the team to address them.
• Technically guide junior engineers with feature design, and review design and implementation done by junior engineers.
• Generate detailed specs for development via GenAI.
• Independently handle complex escalations and guide others.
• Write technical blogs and make technical presentations in internal and external forums.
• Collaborate across teams.

What you'll need

• 6 – 9 years of experience, preferably in a product company.
• Extensive hands-on experience in Go, Python, C, C++, Java, or any other Object-Oriented Language.
• Excellent programming skills along with Data Structures, Algorithms, and Design Concepts.
• Strong experience working with SoA (Service Oriented Architecture).
• Experience in Cloud Technologies (AWS/Azure).
• Hands-on experience with at least one GenAI-based development tool (Cursor, Claude, Co-pilot, Windsurf, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Qualification: B.Tech / B.E / M.E. / M.Tech (Computer Science) or equivalent.

Nice to have

• Experience with third-party API integrations at scale.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum.
• Knowledge of the Backup and Recovery domain.
• Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CRM platforms such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics 365, or identity providers such as Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, and Active Directory.
