Overview
Senior Staff Software Engineer focused on performance engineering for the company’s Identity Security SaaS product.
What you'll do
- Identify and fix performance bottlenecks including memory leaks, CPU spikes, and thread contention.
- Investigate and debug code- and database-level issues affecting IAM system speed and scalability.
- Analyze complex queries, optimize execution plans, and tune databases to remove deadlocks and contention.
- Build diagnostic and automation frameworks using AI/LLMs and prompt engineering.
- Create performance test suites (e.g., K6 or Gatling) and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Set up telemetry dashboards using DataDog, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry and automate bottleneck detection.
- Model high-concurrency identity workloads and validate resiliency with chaos engineering.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience, or Master’s with 3, or a PhD in a related field.
- 3+ years of dedicated system performance optimisation and development experience.
- Experience with at least one language: C#/.NET, Java, or Python.
- Willingness to work with the C#/.NET technology stack.
- Robust SQL query fine-tuning skills.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with familiarity with system design principles and software design patterns.
- Experience working in high-performing cross-functional Agile squads.
