Senior Staff Software Engineer

Overview

Lead the design, development, security, and maintenance of Android mobile products as a hands-on Senior Staff Software Engineer.

What you'll do

• Drive architecture and implementation of core Android solutions.
• Own development from prototyping through testing, delivery, and maintenance.
• Define development practices focused on security, scalability, performance, and code robustness.
• Collaborate with product, sales, UX, and backend engineering teams on roadmaps and APIs.
• Diagnose and resolve complex customer escalations in enterprise deployments.
• Lead design sessions, technical direction, and code reviews for teammates.
• Track Android OS, mobile technology, and open-source library developments.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of Android development experience.
• At least 2 years in a technical leadership or lead role.
• Strong Kotlin, Java, and object-oriented programming skills.
• Experience with Android architecture, testing frameworks, Git, and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of IAM, mobile security, cloud platforms, and local mobile data persistence.

Nice to have

• Basic iOS development experience with Swift, Objective-C, or XCTest.
• Experience with MDM or MAM policies.
• Exposure to security compliance and privacy frameworks.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum across distributed teams.
