Senior SW Engineer - SRE, Production Support, Linux, Networking, CI/CD

Overview

Senior Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role focused on maximizing system availability for Visa Cloud platform services through proactive automation and reactive incident response.

What you'll do

• Identify and support platform and user operations for Visa Cloud platform services (IaaS/PaaS/container as a service).
• Solve platform user and reliability issues using advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Partner with software engineering teams to ensure security, availability, and performance.
• Collaborate on end-to-end availability and performance for mission-critical services.
• Support 24/7/365 operations via shift work or on-call support.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

What you'll need

• At least 3 days in-office required; exact days confirmed by the hiring manager.
• 5+ years’ experience in application or production support for high availability/critical platforms/applications.
• Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows systems and distributed computing environments.
• Experience with networking technologies including DNS, TCP/IP, SSL, and load balancing.
• Experience with CI/CD or release support.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with alerts/monitoring tools including Grafana and Prometheus.
• Experience with scripting using Shell and PowerShell.
