Senior Systems Engineer

Overview

Provide technical leadership and systems engineering support for U.S. Coast Guard digital transformation, systems modernization, automation, and enterprise architecture initiatives.

What you'll do

• Analyze operational requirements and develop technical recommendations.
• Support systems integration, requirements management, architecture development, and solution engineering.
• Develop CONOPS, requirements documents, interface definitions, workflows, and technical assessments.
• Build and maintain enterprise and system architecture models in Cameo Enterprise Architecture.
• Translate operational concepts into traceable UAFML model artifacts.
• Coordinate with cloud, cybersecurity, data, and application development teams.
• Monitor project risks, dependencies, technical issues, and integration impacts.

What you'll need

• 8–10 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, or 6–10 years with a master's degree.
• Experience supporting complex federal IT, systems engineering, or modernization programs.
• Experience with systems integration, enterprise architecture, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Familiarity with systems engineering lifecycle and requirements management practices.
• OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) Model Builder certification.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting DHS or U.S. Coast Guard programs.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, ServiceNow, Salesforce, or enterprise automation platforms.
• Experience with MBSE, SysML, BPMN, or enterprise architecture frameworks.

• Remote/teleworker role in the United States.
• Pay range: $107,900–$195,050 USD yearly.
