Overview
Senior UX Designer responsible for owning end-to-end journeys across responsive web, iOS, and Android, from problem framing through high-fidelity prototypes, specifications, and final build. The role uses AI-powered workflows, research, experimentation, systems thinking, and cross-functional influence to improve traveler experiences.
What you'll do
- Own an end-to-end journey across several teams and ensure it holds together across responsive web, iOS, and Android.
- Frame problems, create high-fidelity prototypes and specifications, and design complex scenarios beyond the happy path.
- Improve hierarchy and make dense pages feel light while raising the quality bar.
- Use AI tools, including Claude, throughout the design process, verify their output, and own final UX decisions.
- Turn vague requests into clear problems and align Product and Engineering before designing.
- Identify real versus assumed constraints and involve Engineering early enough to shape the work.
- Run critique that strengthens other people’s work and maintain quality from concept through final build.
- Resolve disagreements between Product and Engineering.
- Write research plans, partner with researchers, and evaluate quantitative and interview data together.
- Turn research findings into product changes that advocate for the user.
- Decide what travelers need to know and when, and remove copy that serves the business rather than the customer.
- Contribute patterns to Horizon with states, variants, accessibility notes, and reasoning, and drive adoption by other teams.
- Help design experiments by defining the hypothesis, the metric that should move, the guardrail metric, and the result that would cause the idea to be dropped.
What you'll need
- 3+ years of experience in Product/UX design.
- A portfolio showing end-to-end ownership of complex, multi-step digital products.
- At least one project where AI was materially part of the design process.
- Hands-on experience with modern AI workflows across the design lifecycle, including examples of generated work, overridden output, and a plausibly incorrect result that was caught.
- Experience forming hypotheses before shipping and understanding the purpose of a guardrail metric.
- Ability to decide which problem is worth designing for, align partners, and turn down work that will not change anything.
- Ability to influence without authority by building demos, bringing proof, and choosing the right moment.
- Ability to lose an argument without sulking and return with better evidence.
- Ability to design for edge cases including screen readers, low connectivity, and high-stress travel.
- Ability to identify accessibility problems in other people’s work during critique.
- Deep fluency in Figma, including tokens, variants, and component architecture across platforms.
- Ability to work with partners in other offices and time zones, write things down, and keep a problem moving without everyone being in the room.
- Relentless advocacy for the customer so customer needs shape product delivery.
- Illustrated history of living Priceline’s values: Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability, and Trust.
