Service Engineer

Overview

Responsible for installation, testing, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and service support of Building Management Systems (BMS), Fire Alarm Systems, CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection Systems, and other ELV/security solutions, ensuring system uptime, customer satisfaction, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

What you'll do

• Perform installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Building Management Systems (BMS), Fire Alarm Systems, CCTV Surveillance Systems, Access Control Systems, Intrusion Alarm Systems, and Public Address & Voice Evacuation Systems.
• Diagnose and rectify faults in control, fire, and security systems.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities at customer sites.
• Attend service calls and ensure timely resolution within SLA commitments.
• Generate service reports, maintenance records, and site documentation.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal teams for issue resolution.
• Support AMC/FMC projects and recommend system upgrades where required.
• Ensure compliance with EHS and company safety standards during field activities.
• Conduct customer training on system operation and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain inventory of tools, spares, and site materials.

What you'll need

• Good understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Good understanding of Fire Detection & Alarm Systems.
• Good understanding of CCTV & Video Management Systems.
• Good understanding of Access Control & Security Systems.
• Good understanding of PLC/SCADA fundamentals.
• Good understanding of networking basics (IP addressing, switches, routers).
• Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer-handling skills.
• Knowledge of AMC operations and service processes.
• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Electronics & Communication, or related discipline.
• 2-8 years of experience in Controls, Fire & Security systems service and maintenance.
