Shop Engineer

Overview

Hitachi Energy is hiring a Shop Engineer for its Transformers Business in Savli, Gujarat, India. The role supports the unit in meeting production targets by operating shop-floor machinery and assembling products to technical instructions.

What you'll do

• Execute assigned work according to agreed work flows and in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Operate machines in accordance with operating manual, work schedule and production order instructions.
• Carry out routine set-up and adjustments as well as simple repairs and fit simple replacement parts.
• Perform regular standard maintenance of equipment, set up tools and programming, as the job may include.
• Conduct shop floor operations in compliance with health and safety guidelines and report any non-compliance.
• Carry out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process, where the job includes it.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams and instructions for assembly of products, systems and panels.
• Operate within standard operating procedures and maintain a clean work area.

What you'll need

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-3 years of working experience as Shop Engineer, preferably in the Transformer industry.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
