SIEM Security Engineer

Overview

SIEM Security Engineer role focused on maintaining and advancing security monitoring capabilities across enterprise infrastructure, SaaS, and cloud environments.

What you'll do

• Monitor and recommend improvements to SIEM visibility across infrastructure, SaaS, and cloud services.
• Recommend security visibility, data retention, and analytical requirement solutions.
• Execute data onboarding, enrichment, and deployment of detection logic.
• Coordinate with security and non-security stakeholders to implement integrations and recommendations.
• Administer, monitor, maintain, patch, and upgrade security infrastructure.
• Automate workflows using Terraform and Ansible.
• Troubleshoot security platform issues and recommend cost-efficient data filtering, routing, storage, and searchability approaches.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of experience in security or a security-related field.
• 4+ years of experience in SIEM management with a focus on program management.
• Attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Awareness of cybersecurity trends, issues, and hacking techniques.
• Availability to work after hours when needed.
• Ability to work in a team and coordinate with stakeholders inside and outside the security team.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent ability to document platforms and requirements.
• Excellent time management and task prioritization.
