Site Reliability Engineer

Overview

Site Reliability Engineer (P1) for Trimble’s Global AI Site Reliability & Security Operations (AI-SecOps) team, focused on cloud reliability and security in an enterprise Azure environment.

What you'll do

• Support reliability and security strategy across Trimble’s Azure infrastructure.
• Contribute to Windows VM and Microsoft SQL Server operations and security configurations.
• Participate in patch orchestration workflows and troubleshooting to prevent deployment failures.
• Assist with Azure governance and security controls such as RBAC, WAF rule sets, and Zero Trust protocols.
• Run routine CVE scans and support vulnerability remediation using AI tools and automation.
• Write and maintain automation scripts in PowerShell, Python, or Terraform.
• Support incident triage and root-cause analysis while collaborating with engineering teams in North America and India.

What you'll need

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in cloud technical support, systems administration, DevOps, or SRE.
• Fundamental understanding of Microsoft Azure, Azure Active Directory/Entra ID, RBAC, and basic cloud networking/security concepts.
• Introductory to intermediate skills in PowerShell or Python for task automation and system scripting.
• Basic administration knowledge of Windows Server environments and familiarity with MS SQL Server.
• Strong problem-solving aptitude and attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
