Site Service Engineer

Overview

Site Service Engineer role in the Electrification business of ABB's Distribution Solutions division at Nashik, India, performing on-site service work of low to medium complexity.

What you'll do

• Plan and execute service work on a first-time-right approach with customers, following work instructions, ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines.
• Work with the customer on-site to identify opportunities to improve the customer's operations and eliminate pain points.
• Perform field service tasks, identify technical issues, and perform analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products.
• Prepare material lists needed for service activity and ensure all materials, parts and equipment are available and of appropriate quality.
• Troubleshoot equipment/process failures, request proactive corrective actions, and make recommendations to avoid such issues in the future.

What you'll need

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical engineering (should be full-time).
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in servicing, troubleshooting, and after-sales customer support for MV products (11 kV–33 kV).
• Hands-on experience in erection, testing, and commissioning of MV switchgear, RMUs, circuit breakers, and protection relays.
• Experience in site issue management, fault diagnosis, and resolution of customer technical issues.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
