Provide architectural leadership and help define scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions across multiple product lines.
What you'll do
- Define the technology roadmap for surgical planning and connected healthcare products.
- Own scalable architecture across desktop, cloud, APIs, data, and distributed systems.
- Establish reusable frameworks, components, and architecture standards across products.
- Lead migration from legacy systems to modern cloud, microservices, container, and DevOps architectures.
- Embed medical-device safety, cybersecurity, and standards such as IEC 62304, ISO 13485, and ISO 14971.
- Guide architecture for medical imaging, DICOM/PACS, 3D visualization, and surgical planning.
- Drive CI/CD, automation, testing, quality, security, performance, and reliability.
- Mentor architects and engineers, influence senior stakeholders, and align global product teams.
- Collaborate with Technical Leads, Principal Engineers, and Chief Architects to shape and evolve the technical vision across desktop applications, cloud-native platforms, surgical planning and guidance solutions, visualization technologies, mixed-reality applications, and connected healthcare services.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
- 12+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years in architecture or technical leadership roles.
- Proven experience architecting complex, scalable software products in regulated or mission-critical environments.
- Expert knowledge of C++, object-oriented design, software architecture patterns, and system design.
- Strong experience with desktop application technologies including Qt/QML, OpenGL, VTK, and ITK.
- Hands-on experience designing cloud-native solutions on Azure and/or AWS.
