Overview
Software Automation QA Engineer responsible for automating testing of a cloud security posture management platform across cloud connectors, evaluation controls, REST APIs, and user interfaces.
What you'll do
- Design and maintain automated tests using Python, Robot Framework, and Playwright.
- Validate cloud security control logic through intentionally misconfigured resources.
- Investigate false-positive and false-negative control results.
- Verify inventory accuracy across accounts, regions, and resource types.
- Test cloud API behaviors including pagination, eventual consistency, throttling, and permission errors.
- Manage test environments using Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Cassandra, and Kafka.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, debug failures, and participate in code reviews.
What you'll need
- At least 2 years of software automation testing experience.
- Strong Python and hands-on Robot Framework experience.
- Playwright or comparable UI automation experience.
- Experience testing SaaS applications and REST APIs.
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider, including its APIs and IAM model.
- Strong debugging skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with multiple cloud providers.
- Cloud security fundamentals, including IAM, network rules, encryption, and audit logging.
- Experience with CIS Benchmarks or PCI-DSS, HIPAA, or SOC 2.
- Terraform, Docker, or Kubernetes experience.
- Understanding of AI/ML testing fundamentals.
- Experience testing AI/ML cloud services or data pipelines.
