Software Development Engineer 1

Overview

Software Development Engineer 1 supports the design and development of software solutions, including maintaining and enhancing IQVIA platforms.

What you'll do

• Assist in designing and developing software solutions under defined requirements.
• Work across the application stack, including front-end interfaces and back-end services.
• Develop and maintain application features using JavaScript.
• Understand and consume JSON-based data exchange elements.
• Query and extract structured and semi-structured data from relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Troubleshoot code issues and implement fixes to improve stability and performance.
• Review functional specifications and validation deliverables as assigned.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Typically 1 year of relevant software development experience.
• Intermediate proficiency in JavaScript.
• Proficient understanding of JSON, including key structural elements.
• Proficient knowledge of PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Knowledge preferred of reporting, dashboards, or data analysis tools.
• Exposure to AI tools (e.g., Co pilot, Cursor AI) highly preferable.
