Software Development Engineer

Overview

Software Development Engineer role on the Product and Engineering team, working with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain solutions supporting PitchBook Collection Applications.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain solutions for PitchBook Collection Applications.
• Support existing systems and study enterprise complexities.
• Develop and implement improved systems using modern software development practices.
• Build areas of continuous and automated deployment.
• Collaborate with leads, analysts, and developers across the delivery lifecycle.
• Follow estimation, planning, reporting, and process improvement best practices.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a similar field.
• Strong understanding of Core Java, JSP, Spring, SQL, and React JS.
• Hands-on experience with Java/web services/spring/spring boot/react JS or another front-end framework.
• Very strong knowledge of databases with hands-on experience in MS SQL/MySQL/PostgreSQL and NoSQL (e.g., DynamoDB/MongoDB).
• Experience with AI-augmented development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• Experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Location: Mumbai.
• Working conditions: standard office setting.
• Work mode: hybrid work environment; four days in-office each week.
• Travel: limited corporate travel to remote offices or business meetings/events may be required.
