Overview

Join the Chennai VNDLY engineering team as a Software Development Engineer building and maintaining pay-related features for contingent workforce management. Own the design, scalability, and resilience of critical services while contributing to architectural decisions across Python, React, and AWS.

What you'll do

• Maintain and build pay-related features.
• Build features for Jobs, Worker Provisioning, Contracts, and Integrations.
• Own the design, scalability, and resilience of critical services.
• Solve complex challenges related to how contingent workers are onboarded, managed, and paid.
• Contribute to architectural decisions.
• Build robust solutions using Python, React, and AWS.
• Write high-quality, efficient code.
• Act as a key technical connection between established U.S. teams and the Chennai office.
• Work independently and effectively within a large, distributed team.

What you'll need

• 4+ years shown experience in software development.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining RESTful web services.
• Experience working with SQL databases, such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Deep proficiency in Python.
• Experience with at least one Python web framework, such as Django or Flask.
• Strong experience with JavaScript frameworks, specifically React.js.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), such as EC2, S3, RDS, or Lambda.
• Knowledge of SaaS applications, multi-tenant architectures, and DevOps/CI/CD practices.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Exceptional communication skills.
