Engineer II, Software

Overview

Engineer II, Software role on a cross-functional team building a public cloud-based SaaS delivery platform and application services. The position focuses on software design, architecture, development, testing, and technical guidance.

What you'll do

• Identify technical risks and evaluate alternative solutions.
• Own multiple significant software modules.
• Lead the technical integrity of work across concurrent projects.
• Design and implement complex software features.
• Develop automated unit and integration tests.
• Debug, integrate, and document software work.
• Automate feature testing using measurable goals.

What you'll need

• About 5+ years of proven experience.
• Bachelor's in Engineering or Computer Science, or a Master's degree or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience designing web applications using Java or Python and UI technologies.
• Experience with Java Spring, Hibernate, Python FastAPI, or Flask.
• Experience with databases, persistence frameworks, and SQL.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented principles, design patterns, data structures, and unit testing.
• Significant experience with Agile Scrum development processes.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, microservices, Angular JS, Python, Selenium, Maven, Spring, Grunt, or shell scripting.
• Experience with AWS IoT, Kinesis, Redshift, or QuickSight.
• Experience using Agile software development methodologies.
