Software Engineer – MES

Overview

Software Engineer – MES role contributing to Process Automation in energy industries. You will develop and support MES software solutions on the ABB Ability platform.

What you'll do

• Develop and enhance software components for assigned software engineering functions.
• Deliver MES software solutions for energy industry and related process manufacturing.
• Design, develop, and test MES solutions on the ABB Ability platform.
• Provide technical support for installation and commissioning activities.
• Work with customer technical specification documents to prepare estimates and solutions.
• Develop solution design specifications and test procedures, and document lessons learned.

What you'll need

• 3–7 years of experience in designing and implementing web-based applications.
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio .Net IDE, ASP.NET MVC, and ASP.NET Web API.
• Strong knowledge of OOP concepts and MS SQL database stored procedures/queries.
• Experience developing MVC applications using AngularJS.
• Experience in SDLC and Agile methodology for software development.
• Analytical skills to find root cause and solve problems.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electronics or computers/IT.
