Software Development Engineer II

Overview

Develop and lead Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Gen 3 integration, automation, AI agent, and RPA initiatives, including complex hybrid API and RPA workflows.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end integration solutions using OIC Gen 3 with high availability and error handling.
• Lead migrations from OIC Gen 2 to Gen 3, including refactoring integrations for Gen 3's project-based architecture and connectivity features.
• Configure and manage Oracle Cloud Adapters for ERP, HCM, SCM, Salesforce, REST, and SOAP integrations.
• Implement synchronous and asynchronous orchestration patterns and lookups for cross-functional business processes.
• Design, build, and deploy AI Agents in OIC Gen 3 and Oracle Fusion AI Agent Studio.
• Construct and manage AI Tools, Agent Patterns, including ReAct reasoning and acting, and Prompt Templates.
• Expose OIC integrations as enterprise-grade MCP tools for governed action layers.
• Implement human-in-the-loop exception-handling workflows for high-risk agentic decisions.
• Identify automation opportunities where APIs are unavailable and implement OIC Native RPA robots.
• Design, record, and configure software robots within OIC to automate repetitive manual tasks.
• Orchestrate hybrid workflows combining API-based integrations with RPA bots.
• Integrate OIC with UiPath orchestrators to trigger external bots or consume UiPath processes within OIC flows.
• Assess UiPath automations for potential migration to OIC Native RPA.
• Build OIC integrations to map extracted JSON data into Oracle Fusion ERP tables.
• Develop Python scripts or OCI Functions to trigger Document Understanding REST APIs when files land in an Object Storage bucket.
• Design OCI Process Automation workflows that route low-confidence extractions to a human manager for review before ledger commitment.
• Use OIC Observability tools to monitor integration health, troubleshoot failures, and optimize Gen 3 performance.
• Manage connectivity agents for on-premise integrations and secure communication tunnels.

What you'll need

• Minimum 6+ years of progressive experience in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and SOA technologies.
• Hands-on experience with OIC Generation 3 and managing complex integrations.
• Hands-on experience with OIC native RPA features, including designing bots, recording workflows, and managing robot agents.
• Strong proficiency in XML, XSLT, XPath, JSON, REST, SOAP, and JavaScript for complex data mapping and transformation.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for debugging complex hybrid API and RPA workflows.
• Ability to communicate technical automation concepts to non-technical business stakeholders.
• Ability to lead migration projects independently.

Nice to have

• Oracle Cloud Platform Application Integration Specialist certification.
• Experience developing bots in UiPath Studio and managing them via UiPath Orchestrator.
• Experience integrating with Oracle SaaS modules, including Fusion ERP, HCM, and SCM.
• Knowledge of Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) or Process Cloud Service (PCS).
• Experience with UiPath for bridging the existing automation landscape.
