Overview

Software Development Engineer II for Expedia’s Modern Checkout team, building full-stack capabilities for a shared checkout platform.

What you'll do

• Build and evolve frontend and backend capabilities for a modern shared checkout platform.
• Develop production-quality services and user experiences using Java, React, and TypeScript.
• Design, build, test, debug, and maintain distributed microservices and frontend applications.
• Apply system and API design and data modeling to deliver maintainable full-stack solutions.
• Work with cloud-based systems, including AWS or comparable platforms.
• Safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions to improve outcomes responsibly.

What you'll need

• 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Hands-on experience with Java and React, including TypeScript within the React ecosystem.
• Experience building or supporting microservices and distributed systems with AWS or comparable cloud experience.
• Ability to own assigned full-stack features through development, testing, debugging, and delivery, with willingness to work with Kotlin.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent related professional experience.
