Software Development Engineer (tvOS)

Overview

Software Development Engineer (tvOS) / Senior Engineer role on Fox’s Digital Product Engineering tvOS team, building and maintaining native Apple TV streaming applications.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced native tvOS applications using Swift.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, Backend, and QA teams to deliver platform features.
• Integrate tvOS applications with RESTful APIs, authentication, analytics, and backend systems.
• Optimize startup time, navigation, memory usage, and video playback performance.
• Identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot production issues, and implement solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and support knowledge sharing.
• Support production releases and help resolve customer-impacting issues.

What you'll need

• 3–7 years of professional experience in native iOS/tvOS application development.
• Strong proficiency in Swift and Apple frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with the tvOS SDK.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, design patterns, and application architecture.
• Experience with Git, code review practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
