Software Development Manager

Overview

Lead a software development team building scalable, stable, and manageable systems that enhance customer experience. Balance technical strategy with team leadership, architecture, and operational delivery.

What you'll do

• Manage an agile team of professional developers.
• Define system architecture with other developers.
• Prioritise requirements and establish product roadmaps with stakeholders.
• Recruit and hire developers aligned with team goals.
• Support team software implementation and operations.
• Measure and report system and process metrics.
• Lead improvements in development, management support, and business processes.

What you'll need

• More than 10 years of software development experience.
• More than 4 years of software development management and architecture-related experience.
• Proven technical leadership.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with agile software methodology.
• Ability to guide engineers' career development through evaluations and counselling.

Nice to have

• Practical technical skills and expertise.
• Experience implementing and operating large-scale, highly scalable web services.
• Experience launching products on time in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to prioritise tasks in an ever-changing environment.

Details

• Location: Bengaluru.
• Hybrid work model with at least 3 days in the office per week and up to 2 days working from home, depending on role requirements.
