Software Download OTA Architect

Overview

Architect end-to-end Software Download (SWDL) and Over-the-Air (OTA) update solutions across vehicle ECUs and connected platforms. Own secure, diagnosable, recoverable, and production-ready software update architectures.

What you'll do

• Define SWDL and OTA architectures covering bootloader, package management, installation, activation, rollback, and recovery.
• Lead automotive software update architecture using UDS, DoIP, CAN, Automotive Ethernet, and diagnostic interfaces.
• Drive integration and verification across AUTOSAR-based ECU platforms.
• Define secure update strategies using HSM, secure boot, cryptographic signing, verification, and key management.
• Collaborate with platform, application, cybersecurity, functional safety, manufacturing, and service teams.

What you'll need

• 8 to 14+ years of automotive embedded software development experience.
• Strong expertise in SWDL and OTA/FOTA architectures.
• Hands-on experience with bootloader development and Embedded C.
• Experience with AUTOSAR, MCAL, device drivers, CAN, UDS, DoIP, and ECU flashing.
• Knowledge of automotive cybersecurity, including HSM, secure boot, cryptographic signing, rollback protection, and key management.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering or computer science field.

Nice to have

• Experience with Vector tools, Trace32 Lauterbach, Infineon AURIX, NXP microcontrollers, ASPICE, and embedded software architecture.
• Exposure to OTA campaign management, UNECE R156, ISO 24089, cloud-based OTA, and multi-ECU orchestration.
• Experience on OEM programs such as Ford or Stellantis.
