Software Engineer-1

Overview

As a Software Engineer (L5) on the HRIS Product Team, you will contribute to the integration and API platform that powers Rippling's software development lifecycle, ensuring integrations and APIs are consistent, reliable, and high-performing.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain core features of the integration and API frameworks, helping teams deploy new capabilities with high velocity and standardized patterns.
• Contribute to the logic that powers the App Shop, improving how customers discover, purchase, and install tools.
• Work on integrating AI into developer workflows to simplify third-party connectivity and make the integration process more intelligent.
• Support the "Zero KTLO" mission by identifying and automating manual processes, making the platform resilient and easier to maintain.
• Take ownership of platform features, from building standardized paths for API V2 endpoints to enhancing consistency of how customers interact with third-party apps.

What you'll need

• 0-2 years of professional experience in backend engineering.
• A solid grasp of CS fundamentals.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language.
• Pride in shipping clean, well-tested code and documentation that other developers can rely on.
• Eagerness to work on high-leverage platform problems and a passion for creating great experiences for developers and end-users.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Python or Go.
