Overview
Build, enhance, test, and support modern web applications and backend services as an L1 Software Engineer.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and .NET Core / ASP.NET Core.
- Build responsive web applications and reusable UI components using React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Design, develop, integrate, and troubleshoot RESTful APIs.
- Develop data-access components and write efficient SQL queries using PostgreSQL, AlloyDB, or equivalent relational databases.
- Implement clean, reusable, maintainable, secure, and testable code following established engineering standards.
- Develop and maintain unit and integration tests.
- Debug application issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement appropriate fixes.
- Use Git/Bitbucket for source control, branching, pull requests, and code reviews.
- Work with JFrog Artifactory or equivalent artifact repositories for package and artifact management.
- Participate in application build, deployment, and CI/CD activities.
- Follow best practices for security, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, QA, Product Owners, DevOps/Platform teams, and other engineering teams.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Use GitHub Copilot or equivalent AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting.
- Continuously learn and adopt relevant technologies, tools, and engineering practices.
What you'll need
- 1–2 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong programming skills in C# and .NET Core / ASP.NET Core.
- Hands-on experience developing web applications using React.
- Good knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, AlloyDB, or equivalent relational databases.
- Good understanding of SQL, database design, and data-access concepts.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
- Experience with Git, Bitbucket, or equivalent source-control platforms.
- Understanding of unit testing, debugging, exception handling, and application logging.
- Good understanding of HTTP, JSON, authentication/authorization, and web application fundamentals.
Nice to have
- Hands-on or project experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Exposure to GCP services for application hosting, databases, APIs, or integration.
- Experience with JFrog Artifactory or equivalent artifact management solutions.
- Exposure to Git-based CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
- Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
- Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed applications.
- Experience with Entity Framework Core or equivalent ORM frameworks.
- Understanding of application security and secure coding practices.
- Experience using GitHub Copilot or equivalent AI-assisted development tools.
