Software Engineer

Overview

Software Engineer role focused on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining embedded software applications.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, and debug OOPs/Python/Java software applications.
• Collaborate with embedded engineers to integrate software applications with hardware components.
• Ensure compliance with coding standards, software development processes, and industry best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Perform software verification and validation to ensure product quality and reliability.
• Document software designs, requirements, and test procedures.
• Provide technical support to other teams as needed.

What you'll need

• Proficiency in Python and core Java.
• Minimum 1+ years of hands-on experience in software development.
• Experience working with databases such as Timeseries, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Exposure to data science and machine learning algorithms.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and methodologies (Agile, JIRA, Sprint, Confluence).
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with IEC-61850 standards for communication networks and systems in power utility automation.
• Knowledge of HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) systems and related technologies.
• Knowledge of software configuration management tools such as Git or SVN.
• Experience with Agile software development practices.
