Software Engineer - 3 to 5yrs - Python, Automation, Networking

Overview

Join Cisco's QA team to build automated tests and validate multi-cloud networking scenarios for the Multi-Cloud Fabric (MCF) ahead of its GA release in early 2027.

What you'll do

• Create and maintain tests using Python with Pytest, Robot Framework, or Selenium.
• Execute E2E tests validating networking scenarios including IPsec tunnels, BGP routing, and AutoVPN mesh across clouds.
• Test functionality across AWS, Azure, and GCP regions, ensuring consistent behavior.
• Use Cursor and Codex to accelerate test writing and generate test cases.
• Help develop API test suites for MCN control plane services.
• Document bugs with clear reproduction steps and work with developers to resolve issues.

What you'll need

• 3-5 years of QA automation experience.
• Python proficiency for test automation.
• Test framework experience with Pytest, Robot Framework, Selenium, or Cypress.
• API testing experience with REST APIs and basic HTTP concepts.
• Basic networking knowledge or strong interest in learning.
• Detail-oriented approach to testing and quality.

Nice to have

• Cloud platform exposure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• CI/CD pipeline integration experience.
• Docker or container technologies.
• Networking or security testing.
• Performance or load testing with Locust, k6, or JMeter.
• BDD (Behavior Driven Development) experience.
