Software Engineer 5 - TV Product UI

Overview

Software Engineer role for Netflix’s TV Product UI, building consumer-facing UI features for the flagship TV app.

What you'll do

• Build state-of-the-art UI features for the leading TV app on performance- and memory-constrained devices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering partners to scope projects and deliver user experiences.
• Validate product judgment by running A/B tests of product variants with real customers.
• Work on a TypeScript/JavaScript codebase using React Frameworks & Redux for TV platforms and Jest-based automation.
• Own feature quality by writing testable code and automation with test engineers.

What you'll need

• At least 6 years of experience on consumer-facing products/apps.
• Experience acting as a tech/project lead for large cross-functional projects.
• Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and UI architecture.
• Ability to navigate different stacks (e.g., Node.js, GraphQL).
• Track record of taking initiative when solutions/path are undefined.
