Software Engineer

Overview

Software Engineer III for WEX Benefits Technology, partnering with Product and customers to build employer benefits solutions.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand customer challenges.
• Measure and inspect data to drive decisions.
• Design, test, code, and instrument new solutions.
• Strengthen engineering process using TDD/BDD and microservices/vertical slice architectures.
• Support live applications with monitoring and rapid incident response.
• Analyze systems to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Mentor peers and build subject-matter expertise.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong proficiency in Angular and/or React.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Proven unit tests/test suites experience and software security/OWASP understanding.
• Git version control and CI/CD pipeline proficiency.
• Agile development methodology experience.

Nice to have

• Kubernetes, Helm/ArgoCD, Terraform, GitHub Actions, NoSQL databases, GraphQL, and Azure.
