Software Engineer-Android Framework

Overview

Develop and deliver Android Automotive system modules and components, taking responsibility from requirements analysis through functionality realization, integration, testing and defect resolution.

What you'll do

• Analyze requirements and realize functionality in the Android Automotive domain.
• Develop different modules and components in the Android Automotive System.
• Own multiple components of the Android Automotive System.
• Deliver software for software integration.
• Implement defined test strategies and document the achieved results.
• Perform pre-integration testing and verification for the functional area and its features.
• Ensure traceability, consistency of requirements and feature maturity.
• Triage and resolve defects.
• Work with other domains to resolve dependencies on features and defects.
• Mentor less experienced team members and assist them in completing their tasks on time.
• Collaborate within an agile cross-functional team environment.

What you'll need

• Solid working experience with software life-cycle methodologies.
• Strong leadership, planning and organization skills.
• Mentoring skills to assist less experienced team members.
• Expert knowledge of the Android Framework, AOSP platform architecture and related build system.
• 3+ years of working experience modifying Android framework components, system services and the Android SDK.
• Good understanding of the Android Automotive System and Car Framework.
• Very good understanding of Android components: Services, Broadcast Receivers, Content Providers and Treble Architecture.
• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin and object-oriented programming.
• Hands-on experience.
• Hands-on knowledge.
• Good and complete understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Overall 3-5 years of experience.
