Software Engineer (Backend Engineer) - Bengaluru

Overview

Backend Software Engineer role (Member of Technical Staff) building and maintaining reliable, reusable backend services for a platform.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain reliable, reusable, testable code for core platform services.
• Identify and troubleshoot performance and code quality issues.
• Take ownership of engineering initiatives and promote continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Solution Architects, Security Engineering, and external partners.
• Participate across software development stages including requirement, design, coding, test automation, and debugging.
• Perform code reviews and apply coding best practices.

What you'll need

• 2-10 years of experience in software engineering.
• Proficiency designing, developing, and optimizing PostgreSQL-backed data models and queries.
• Experience with advanced PostgreSQL capabilities such as indexing, partitioning, replication, and query optimization.
• High proficiency and experience with Unix/Linux platforms.
• Strong working experience with Python, Docker, and Terraform/IaC.
• Strong DevOps experience, including building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
