Software Engineer, Blockchain Platform Nodes

Overview

Software Engineer for blockchain platform nodes, focused on performance optimization, reliability, and observability across distributed node services.

What you'll do

• Own performance analysis and optimization across the blockchain node stack to diagnose root causes and reduce infrastructure spend while maintaining reliability SLOs.
• Build observability, health-check, and automated failover capabilities so the team can detect degradation and respond proactively.
• Execute right-sizing improvements by profiling workloads, identifying over-provisioned instances, and contributing to capacity models for cost vs reliability.
• Partner with protocol integration engineers, wallet teams, and indexer teams to extend performance improvements across the platform stack.
• Support the definition and implementation of SLOs/SLIs for node services and measurement frameworks.
• Support protocol upgrades and node operations with a performance-first lens, including regression-testing before production rollout.

What you'll need

• 2+ years of software engineering experience with systems-level performance analysis/profiling/optimization for production infrastructure.
• Experience operating distributed systems, including diagnosing resource bottlenecks and tuning service performance or managing capacity.
• Proficiency in backend programming (Go preferred).
• Familiarity with systems tooling for profiling, tracing, and observability (pprof, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Demonstrated ability to improve infrastructure efficiency through optimization rather than only scaling resources.
• Exposure to blockchain nodes/consensus/crypto infrastructure is a plus.
