Overview
Software Engineer (Business System Analyst) delivering technological initiatives for Caterpillar’s Commercial Process Division within the Power and Energy Group. The role collaborates with business partners and enterprise teams to create business-relevant IT and business strategies.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with business partners and enterprise teams in creation of Business relevant IT & Business Strategies for CPD.
- Work across multiple teams to understand requirements and technology capabilities.
- Design, modify, develop, write and implement software programming applications for target systems using agile methods.
- Acquire client requirements and resolve workflow problems through automation optimization.
- Write source code for new applications.
- Generate and enhance code samples for existing applications.
- Utilize automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance.
What you'll need
- Agile mindset and experience working in Product Teams.
- Experience working in the Azure DevOps Framework.
- Experience working with the .NET Framework.
- Automation & AI-first thinking.
- Cyber Safe approach.
- DevOps, CI/CD practices, and automated testing.
- Knowledge of decision-making processes and associated tools and techniques, with the ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
- Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques, with the ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through appropriate communication behaviors.
- Knowledge of software development tools and activities, with the ability to produce software products or systems in line with product requirements.
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle, with the ability to use a structured methodology for delivering and managing new or enhanced software products to the marketplace.
- Knowledge of software integration processes and functions, with the ability to design, develop and maintain interfaces and links to alternative platforms and software packages.
- Knowledge of software product design, with the ability to convert market requirements into software product design.
- Knowledge of technical aspects of a software product, with the ability to design, configure and integrate technical aspects of software products.
- Knowledge of software product testing, with the ability to design, plan and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure software product quality and adherence to stated requirements.
Details
- Location: Bangalore-Whitefield PSN office, Karnataka, India.
- Work onsite in the office five days a week.
