Software Engineer, Business Systems

Overview

Software Engineer, Business Systems focused on building and running integrations, data pipelines, automations, and internal tools that connect business systems.

What you'll do

• Own the end-to-end technical path for systems integrations and automated workflows.
• Build integrations, data pipelines, and internal lightweight services/tools.
• Run and monitor inherited production automations, including alerting and incident response.
• Evaluate build-vs-buy options by prototyping vendor/API feasibility and requirements fit.
• Lead migrations with field mapping, cutover scripts, and platform replacements.
• Ship increments, triage issues, and keep documentation/runbooks updated.

What you'll need

• 2–4 years of software/integration/automation development in a professional environment.
• Strong Python and fluency with APIs (authentication, rate limits, retries, idempotency, pagination, webhooks, event-driven patterns).
• Experience building integrations against SaaS APIs (not only console-based/configured integrations).
• Hands-on cloud experience with a working understanding of composing services (GCP preferred).
• End-to-end ownership of a system from design/build/shipping to operating in production.
• Ability to debug across system boundaries when records disagree.
• Testing and verification mindset using measured correctness.

Nice to have

• Building AI agents, tool-use, and agentic workflows; MCP servers.
• Exposure to business systems such as CRM, ERP, HRIS, and ITSM.
• Data and pipeline work (BigQuery, ETL/ELT).
• Infrastructure-as-code experience.
