Software Engineer - Core Java and Equities Tech - Assistant Vice President

Overview

A vice president level senior technologist role on the global One Touch team, building out the Equities Strategic Order Management platform and its microservices layer.

What you'll do

• Deliver a multi-year technology roadmap in alignment with budget constraints and business value proposition.
• Partner closely with the global technology team to maximize platform value and ensure the right sequence of delivery.
• Adhere to system architecture, design of key modules, SDLC, and technology standards.
• Rapidly adopt AI toolkits in line with the firm's strategy of modernizing the development process.
• Deliver highly automated, low-cost quality assurance.
• Collaborate closely with production support to ensure successful delivery and operation of the system.
• Partner with Client Connectivity, Execution Services, and Risk technology teams.
• Partner closely with regulatory, compliance, and audit.
• Manage compute and estate, including hygiene, security, and vulnerability items.
• Replace legacy and vendor trading systems end to end.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of experience.
• Strong analytical and technical skills.
• Strong program skills in Core Java, multi-threading, concurrency and low latency architecture.
• Good exposure to Unix and Oracle.
• Command of the latest AI productivity tools.
• Strong engineering background and command of modern architectures and frameworks (middleware, server, document and relational databases).
• Strong command of modern Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) best practices.
• Solid understanding of Equities products and services.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
