Software Engineer

Overview

Software Engineer responsible for designing and delivering scalable software solutions, analysing business requirements, and supporting digital product and service improvements.

What you'll do

• Identify and analyse business problems and client requirements.
• Develop business requirements and solution designs.
• Build high-throughput, low-latency, scalable applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align proposed solutions with their needs.
• Conduct feasibility studies and support business cases.
• Manage risk, strengthen controls, and support change implementation.
• Analyse complex data and communicate findings to stakeholders.

What you'll need

• Strong hands-on software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java 11+/17+, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Experience with SQL Server and object-oriented design.
• Understanding of event-driven architecture, distributed systems, and Apache Kafka.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Exposure to financial services or investment banking environments.
• Familiarity with Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, or Dynatrace.
