Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition - Bangalore, India

Overview

Software Engineer for Speechify’s Data side of the AI team, responsible for data collection to support model training operations.

What you'll do

• Find new sources of audio data and bring them into the ingestion pipeline.
• Operate and extend cloud infrastructure for the ingestion pipeline on GCP using Terraform.
• Work with scientists to improve cost, throughput, and data quality.
• Collaborate to craft an AI team dataset roadmap.
• Support dataset collection at petabyte-scale for low-cost ingestion.

What you'll need

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience in software development.
• Proficiency with bash/Python scripting in Linux environments.
• Proficiency in Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts.
• Professional experience with at least one major cloud provider (GCP is used).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
