Engineering Manager

Overview

Platform Engineering Manager/Engineering Manager role focused on modernizing cloud platforms and leading a Platform Engineering team.

What you'll do

• Lead and mentor the Platform Engineering team for cloud/platform modernization initiatives.
• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for deployments and infrastructure management.
• Own AWS infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD design, and enable production deployments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to drive DevOps and AWS improvements and enhance usability.
• Establish centralized security protocols and auditing practices for cloud platforms.
• Improve application observability with monitoring and logging solutions.
• Ensure platform scalability, reliability, and reusability; provide progress updates to leadership.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or related fields.
• At least 5+ years of experience in a managerial role.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Extensive experience with IaC tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages like Python and Bash.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.

Nice to have

• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Architect, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
