Engineering Manager - Cloud Traffic

Overview

Lead a cloud traffic engineering team responsible for developing, operating, and governing Kubernetes-based private cloud traffic infrastructure, including load balancing, global traffic management, service mesh, API gateways, and network policies.

What you'll do

• Lead and mentor cloud engineers while supporting career development and performance management.
• Coordinate engineering activities and deliver product features with quality, observability, and scalability.
• Oversee the software lifecycle from requirements through development and deployment.
• Drive adoption of cloud-native technologies and standard processes.
• Champion automation to improve cloud efficiency and reliability.
• Coordinate with operations, security, fleet management, product, and engineering teams.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• At least 3 years of people management or technical leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures and technologies, including Kubernetes, containerization, service mesh, and microservices.
• Experience with software development, networking, and security technologies in a large-scale cloud environment.
• Experience working in large, distributed global teams.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience maintaining Linux kernels for large-scale, high-performance computing platforms.
• Experience with capacity planning, resource allocation, and cost optimization.
• Kubernetes or cloud infrastructure certifications.
• Experience with cloud security controls, compliance, and monitoring.
• Understanding of developer experience principles and API-driven platforms.
