Manager, Engineering

Overview

Engineering Manager responsible for technical direction, team leadership, platform delivery, and cross-functional collaboration in a distributed environment.

What you'll do

• Lead and grow a team of 10+ engineers.
• Own hiring, performance management, and career development.
• Drive platform components from architecture and design through deployment and iteration.
• Set engineering quality standards and participate in architecture reviews.
• Partner with Product, Design, QA, and cross-functional stakeholders on scalable solutions.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, technical debt, and systemic risks.
• Coordinate US–India distributed teams and mentor engineers.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of engineering leadership managing teams of 7+ engineers.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot backend expertise.
• Experience with distributed microservices and event-driven architectures on AWS.
• Proficiency with MongoDB, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Redis, or similar technologies.
• Experience diagnosing production-scale performance issues.
• Experience recruiting and developing senior engineering talent.

Nice to have

• Experience managing backend and frontend disciplines using React or Angular.
• Experience in automotive retail technology or adjacent domains.
• Exposure to AI/ML platforms or production LLM integrations.
