Overview

Manager, Engineering leading sprint delivery and engineering execution for a small team, including AI-assisted workflows, technical quality, and cross-functional ownership.

What you'll do

• Lead sprint delivery for a team of 6–12 engineers, including planning, dependencies, risks, and release readiness.
• Sequence work across people and AI-assisted workflows.
• Maintain JIRA, ProductBoard, and a dependency tracker without stale tickets.
• Track cycle time and escaped defects and own the trend.
• Review code and AI-generated output to ensure the right problem is solved.
• Engage escalations, produce RCAs, and own P1/P2 support SLAs.

What you'll need

• 10+ years in software engineering, including 2+ years managing teams of 5 or more.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Architectural depth to evaluate tradeoffs in AI-assisted output.
• Background in platform, API, data, or infrastructure engineering.
• Fluency with JIRA and ProductBoard (or equivalent) in a PM/Design pod environment.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, design patterns, and object-oriented programming.
• Proficient in Python or Java for meaningful code review and design discussions.
