Software Engineer- Frontend

Overview

Software Engineer (Global Role) for the Licensing platform frontend, using React within ZEISS’ Monetization Platforms department.

What you'll do

• Develop the frontend for the licensing platform using React.
• Design, implement, and maintain the central licensing portal built with React and Beyond UI.
• Build and maintain user interfaces consistent with ZEISS design guidelines and interaction needs.
• Develop and maintain C#/.NET backend components that power the portal and integrate with licensing services.
• Collaborate with backend, client, UX, and architecture teams to deliver end-to-end licensing workflows.
• Improve build, test, and deployment pipelines in Azure DevOps for the portal.
• Troubleshoot incidents and bugs across frontend, backend, and API boundaries.

What you'll need

• 2–7 years experience as stated for the role.
• Several years hands-on experience developing React-based web applications.
• Strong proficiency in C# / .NET for backend services or backend-for-frontend logic.
• Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs including request/response design, status codes, and error handling.
• Proven ability to design user interfaces with UX/design or product teams.
• Experience working in agile development teams using Scrum/Kanban and Git-based workflows.
