Software Engineer II

Overview

Software Engineer II building and maintaining AWS-hosted microservices for enterprise-grade SaaS contact center applications in an agile environment.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, test, and maintain SaaS services and features hosted on AWS.
• Ensure releases meet quality and high-reliability standards (five 9’s) and delivery timelines.
• Own end-to-end microservices, including safe deployment practices and DevOps operations.
• Implement security, reliability, and telemetry as first principles and avoid technical debt.
• Build automated unit, API, and functional tests in a CI/CD environment.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Principal Engineers, SRE, and Platform on design and implementation.
• Participate in backlog grooming, design/code reviews, on-call rotation, and incident response (24x7).

What you'll need

• 2-4 years of experience architecting and implementing highly-available, reliable, secure SaaS applications on microservices.
• Expertise in microservices, AWS, and APIs.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, and React.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and safe deployment practices.
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Flink).
• Experience working with geographically distributed teams and strong written/verbal communication.
