Software Engineer II B - GBS IND

Overview

Software Engineer II role within Bank of America's Global Business Services (BA Continuum India) on the Banking & Lending Product Technology team, supporting consumer and small business banking and lending products, including credit cards, deposits, and consumer lending.

What you'll do

• Be responsible for development, support, maintenance and implementation of a project module, either as an individual contributor or through a team.
• Work as a guide and set directions for medium sized projects; may lead special initiatives.
• Ensure low downtime for systems and related services.
• Find new methods and processes to approach complex situations.
• Design and develop solutions for ongoing initiatives as part of a Scrum Team, working closely with the Scrum Master and Product Owner to understand use cases and stories, implement code, test it, and support production implementation.
• Actively participate in all Scrum routines and discussions.
• Work with stakeholders to determine and document the application future strategy and road map, and with the Architecture team to align the team towards application strategy and roadmap.
• Participate in initiative design discussions and help the team design future-ready software.
• Design and develop solution architecture and design for enterprise-wide systems, and support implementation and deployment by working closely with delivery teams.
• Understand complexity of adapting to enterprise-wide standards and guidelines and suggest solutions.
• Be responsible for components of complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities.
• Ensure all internal processes, procedures, and policies are effectively enforced.
• Serve as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource, providing tech knowledge and capabilities as a team member and individual contributor.
• Work closely with business partners and technology systems owners to define requirements for POC initiatives, and adapt new technologies independently.
• Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria.

What you'll need

• Graduation or Post Graduation (education).
• 7 to 9 years of experience.
• Foundational skills: Java, SpringBoot, REST WebServices, Design Patterns, GitHub Co-pilot.
• Expert knowledge of SpringBoot, WebServices and Credit Card domain.

Nice to have

• Desired skills: Angular, OpenShift, DevOps, GitHub Co-pilot.
