Overview
Software Engineer II responsible for developing high-quality mobile applications for public safety and enterprise communication using Android and Flutter frameworks.
What you'll do
- Develop high-quality mobile applications for public safety and enterprise communication using Android and Flutter frameworks.
- Integrate Kotlin modules in Java-based projects.
- Use multi-module Gradle projects, build variants, flavors, and dependency management.
- Debug, profile, and optimize builds using Android Studio tools.
- Work with Android framework APIs and components including Activity, Fragment, Services, Content Providers, and Intent filters.
- Implement Android system features including power management, background limits, and telephony APIs.
- Bridge Java/Kotlin with native C/C++ code using JNI.
- Work with SWIG-generated wrapper classes for native API exposure.
- Manage memory allocation, deallocation, and leak prevention between Java and native layers.
- Implement multithreading, thread management, synchronization, concurrency, and performance optimization.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in the Telecom Domain.
- Hands-on experience developing high-quality mobile applications for public safety and enterprise communication using Android and Flutter frameworks.
- Extensive experience with SIP, RTP, RTCP, and TCP/UDP protocols.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Java for Android development.
- Working knowledge and experience integrating Kotlin modules in Java-based projects.
- Deep understanding of Android SDK (API 35+), Activity/Fragment lifecycle, Services, and BroadcastReceivers.
- Knowledge of the Repository pattern and Android Architecture Components.
- Proficiency with multi-module Gradle projects, build variants, flavors, and dependency management.
- Proficiency with Android Studio debugging tools, profilers, and build optimization.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Android framework APIs.
- Knowledge of Android components including Activity, Fragment, Services, Content Providers, and Intent filters.
- Knowledge of Android system features including power management, background limits, and telephony APIs.
- Hands-on experience bridging Java/Kotlin with native C/C++ code using JNI.
- Experience working with SWIG-generated wrapper classes for native API exposure.
- Understanding of memory allocation, deallocation, and leak prevention between Java and native layers.
- Knowledge of multithreading, thread management, synchronization, concurrency, and performance optimization.
Nice to have
- Hands-on knowledge of Flutter or similar cross-platform technology.
