Overview

Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role at Guidewire in Bengaluru, building and operating cloud-native services and pipelines for release and environment platforms on AWS and Kubernetes.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and operate scalable cloud-native services and pipelines for release and environment platforms on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK).
• Build and evolve CI/CD workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions, TeamCity) to improve deployment reliability, speed, and consistency.
• Improve observability and reliability using metrics, logging, tracing, SLOs, alerting, incident response, and post-incident reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan work, break down complex problems, and deliver iteratively.
• Mentor junior engineers through design discussions, pairing, and code reviews.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of experience as a software engineer, systems engineer, SRE, or platform engineer working on production systems.
• Strong programming experience in at least one modern high-level language: Java, Go, or Python.
• Expertise building and maintaining APIs and CLIs following OpenAPI best practices.
• Hands-on experience with public cloud (preferably AWS), containerization, Kubernetes, and CI/CD systems (e.g., GitHub Actions, TeamCity).
• Familiarity with DevOps/SRE practices including infrastructure as code, configuration management, monitoring/alerting, runbooks, and incident management.
