Overview
As a Software Engineer In Test, you will support end-to-end test automation for major CRM, Contact Center, AI, and Service Operations initiatives across multiple regions, from development through technical go-live. You will develop and maintain automation frameworks and scripts, collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, and help drive high-quality test automation across large-scale E-Commerce, CRM, and ERP systems.
What you'll do
- Contribute to, maintain, and enhance the test automation framework by adding new capabilities and improving maintainability.
- Ensure the framework supports scalability, modularity, and cross-platform compatibility.
- Implement suitable solutions in unknown areas.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust and reusable test automation scripts.
- Work with UI, API, database, and possibly mobile or desktop application layers.
- Implement and maintain utilities and test libraries.
- Support developers with unit tests when required.
- Collaborate with QA leads and developers to define what to automate, when, and how.
- Integrate test automation into the CI/CD pipeline to support continuous testing.
- Run automated tests, analyze results, and identify and troubleshoot test failures.
- Escalate issues when needed.
- Maintain and update test cases and CI/CD pipelines as applications evolve.
- Investigate test failures and identify whether the root cause is a test issue, application defect, or environment problem.
- Provide quick and effective fixes or workarounds.
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, DevOps, and product owners on testing objectives.
- Mentor junior team members on automation best practices and tool usage.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient automation code.
- Perform code reviews for junior engineers and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure adherence to automation coding standards and version control practices.
- Set up or manage basic test data for automated runs.
- Run tests across different environments and report inconsistencies.
- Document automated tests and provide clear test case descriptions.
- Keep test coverage and automation status updated in tracking tools like Jira, TestRail, or similar.
- Proactively identify areas for automation improvement or technical debt reduction.
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and emerging practices.
What you'll need
- Hands-on experience in at least one of the following programming languages: React.js, Next.js, .NET, Java, JavaScript, Python, or Kotlin.
- Hands-on experience testing or developing APIs.
- Proven experience in building test frameworks, application development and building applications, and working with Git.
- Solid experience with API automation testing, microservices solutions, and setting up CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or similar.
- Experience with Docker or similar.
- Experience working in an Agile environment and comfort working in dynamic settings and requirements.
- Ability to work as an independent contributor and drive assigned tasks forward with precision and efficiency.
- Proficiency in cross-functional communication, with the ability to facilitate team communication and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Hands-on experience with the latest development tools and processes, DevOps practices, and cloud solutions like Azure, AWS, or similar.
- Experience with Robot Framework, Selenium Grid, and reporting tools like Grafana, Report Portal, or similar.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience testing order fulfillment for e-commerce, with a main focus on SAP Commerce (CCV2) and SAP ECC SD/MM.
